When flash flooding swept through Waverly on Aug. 21, Jason Zills and his wife were surprised by how quickly the water rose on their property. Within minutes, they knew they needed to get out and get to safety.
After the water receded, they returned home to find debris and trash all over the property. There was no electricity, and over 5 feet of water had made its way into their home.

Jason, who is the Cast House superintendent at Nyrstar Clarksville, didn’t ask for help. But help was already on its way.
There was no hesitation from co-workers Jim Parker, Antonio Youngblood, Clay Mills and David McLendon, who pulled in to work on the property with Jason to get things back to normal.
“The work these men did went a long way,” said Callie Worstall, training coordinator at Nyrstar. “It goes to show you how caring and awesome our team truly is.”
