CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Sunny skies will begin the weekend with a few lingering showers on Saturday and Sunday.
Heat waves are expected to return to Clarksville on Friday, as well as Saturday with heat index values nearing 100, according to the National Weather Service. NWS spokesperson Mark Rose said there is a chance a heat advisory will be put into place sometime on Saturday.

- Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 74. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph.
- Saturday: A slight chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 94. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
- Saturday night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 74. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
- Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. West wind around 5 mph becoming north northwest in the afternoon.
- Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 63. North wind around 5 mph.
