CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – As we slide from Christmas to New Year’s Eve, there are several fun things to do on both sides of the holiday this weekend, including your last chance at Christmas lights.
Noon Year’s Celebration Dance Party: Children of all ages are invited to join the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library for a free Noon Year’s Eve celebration with a balloon drop, treats and dancing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, at the library, 350 Pageant Lane.

First Day Hikes at Dunbar Cave State Park: Join Ranger Adam for a 2.75 mile loop hike to discover how the landscape has been altered by throughout the centuries. Please wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather. The hike will start at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, at the park, 291 Dunbar Cave Road.
Christmas on the Cumberland: The final weekend for a free showcase of over 1 million lights along the river. Vendors sell concessions on weekends during event hours. All at McGregor Park, 640 N. Riverside Drive, ending Jan. 2. Hours are 5-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 5-10 p.m. Thursday, Sunday and Monday.
Drive-Thru Christmas Lights: The final weekend for over 1 mile of over 3 million lights from the comfort of your car at the Clarksville Speedway and Fairgrounds, 1600 Needmore Road, ending Jan. 1. Hours are 5:30-10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; and 5:30-9 p.m. Thursday and Sunday. Admission is $30 per car, $50 for more than eight people in a vehicle.
