CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend you can enjoy a new play at the Roxy, a renowned organist at Madison Street UMC or the Miss Tennessee USA Pageant.

The Violet Hour: It’s April 1, 1919, and a young independent publisher in a dilapidated Manhattan office finds himself besieged by two authors while a mysterious machine spews out stacks of pages. Check out this play at Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin St., March 9-18 at 7 p.m. Fridays, 8 p.m. Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Saturdays. Tickets are: $35 adults, $15 for 10 and younger.

Miss Tennessee USA Pageant: More than 70 delegates from around the state will compete in the 2023 Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Tennessee Teen USA Pageants. Organized and produced by Greenwood Productions, this marks Clarksville’s 22nd year hosting the event. The preliminary is Friday, March 10, at 7:30 p.m., and the final on Saturday, March 11, at 4 p.m. at Austin Peay State University Mabry Concert Hall. Tickets range from $55-$100 on Eventbrite.

Notre Dame organist concert: Internationally renowned concert artist Olivier Latry, titular organist at the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris, France, will present a solo organ concert Friday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. at Madison Street United Methodist Church, 319 Madison St. Tickets are $25 tickets and available through the Clarksville Community Concert Association (www.clarksvillemusic.org) or at the door.
