CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend is the last weekend before the kids go back to school, here are some events to enjoy in Clarksville.

Emancipation Day Parade and Block Party: On Friday, the parade will start at Eighth Street and College Street, then travel through downtown. The parade will start at 5:30 p.m. with the Block Party to follow from 7-11 p.m. on Franklin Street in front of the Burt Cobb Community Center, 1011 Franklin St., with a D.J., dancing, food, vendors.

Downtown @ Sundown: Rubik’s Groove will be performing at the Downtown Commons on Friday from 7-9:30 p.m.

Adult Skate Night: It is the first Friday of the month, so you know what that means, it’s Adult Skate Night at Magic Wheels Fun Center. The event is for adults 21 and over, and it’s from 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Come enjoy music and fun all night at the cost of $14.

Movies in the Park: Remember the Titans will be playing this Saturday in Heritage Park. You can come by at around 6:15 to get good parking and participate in the pre-show activities.

Wonder Kids Triathlon: A swim, bike, and run event for youth ages 3-12 years at New Providence Pool and New Providence Middle School on Saturday. It is $30 per participant (includes shirt and medal), and the event runs from 9-11:30 a.m. There are three age divisions, tiny tykes being from 3-5, juniors being 6-8, and seniors from ages 9-12.
