CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A chilly weekend is in store for us, but there are plenty of opportunities to spice up your weekend.

Polar Plunge: What better way to spend a winter day than supporting Special Olympics Tennessee by taking a plunge into the Foy Pool at Austin Peay State University? Registration starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday for all of the participants. All participants must submit a $50 donation to take part.

Inked for a Cause: On Saturday at Hell or Highwater Tattoo, come by for a tattoo and half of their proceeds will go towards providing service animals for veterans. There will also be a raffle, food, and drinks from noon to 5 p.m.

Renzo Gracie Self-Defense Seminar: Gather your friends for a girls’ night out at Renzo Gracie Clarksville on Saturday for a women’s only self-defense seminar, and as long as you’re 21, you can also enjoy some Trazo Meadery honey wine. It’ll be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are $20.

Black History Tour: Tour the historic grounds of Mt. Olive Cemetery on Sunday at 11 a.m. and learn about the influence and contributions of African-Americans regarding the history, education, development, growth and culture of Clarksville. Tours last 20 minutes, and groups are limited to 20 participants. Schedule your tour here.
