CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Things are slowing down after all the holiday excitement, which makes it a nice time to learn some planting skills or attend an Epiphany concert.
- Where: Wade Bourne Nature Center, 2308 Rotary Park Drive
- When: Saturday, Jan. 6, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
- Cost: Free, but registration required online.
- Details: This workshop will focus on preparing a mini greenhouse for native plants to begin growing during the winter. Each participant will use a clean 1 gallon milk jug and alter it to serve as a mini greenhouse. Then, the appropriate dirt and substrate will be added and, finally, local, native pollinator plant seeds. No experience or prior knowledge is required to attend, bring your curiosity and we will teach you the rest!
Epiphany Concert: Bach’s Christmas Oratorio
- Where: Grace Lutheran Church, 2041 Madison Street.
- When: Sunday, Jan. 7 at 4 p.m.
- Cost: Free
- Details: An annual tradition to conclude the Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany seasons – this year featuring the first half of J. S. Bach’s monumental Christmas Oratorio. Bask in the warm sounds of Grace’s choir, soloists, and orchestra.
