CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend watch a musical with the family, shop at the downtown farmers market, enjoy ice cream at Civitan Park, and explore local vendors and artisans.
Matilda The Musical: With its high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs, children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by this story of an extraordinary girl who dares to take a stand and change her destiny. Watch it live at the Roxy, 100 Franklin Street, on Friday, Aug. 30, through Sept. 1, with showings at 7 p.m. Tickets are $35 adults, $15 (10 and under).
Downtown Market: Enjoy the weekly open-air market on Saturday, Aug. 30, featuring farmers and artisans who offer locally grown fresh produce, food items and handcrafted products. Plus, live music and special events. The market is downtown, 1 Public Square, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Ice Cream and Candidates: Enjoy ice cream at Civitan Park, 650 Bellamy Lane, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Guest speakers include Allie Phillips for TN75, Garfield Scott for TN68, and Karen Reynolds for TN State Senate.
Community Vendor Fair: Enjoy a vendor fair with over 40 vendors at Clarksville Elite Gymnastics Center, 2625 Madison Drive, on Saturday, Aug. 31, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
