CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – It’s a beautiful weekend to get out and have some fun, and it’s Memorial Day weekend to boot! Here are some of your top options.
Jazz on the Lawn: Live music returns to the lawn, with Full Circle, then The Bicho Brothers at Beachaven Vineyards & Winery, 1100 Dunlop Lane, on Saturday, May 27, with music from 3-5 p.m. and 6:30-9:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for ages 21 and up. Food trucks will be on site.
Spring into Summer Festival: Country music artist Chris Janson is the headline performer for the 16th annual Spring into Summer Salutes Fort Campbell at War Memorial Walking Trail Park, 101 Walter Garrett Lane, Oak Grove, Kentucky, Saturday and Sunday, May 27-28. Janson will take the stage on Saturday at 7 p.m. Also, Saturday will feature a six-man parachute jump show, and a firework show. There’s also the bubble zone, free carnival rides and more.
Bike the Cram: The Clarksville Rotary Annual Metric (CRAM) is returning in person for a ride from Tennessee into southern Kentucky on Saturday, May 27. The CRAM will start and finish at Agero Clarksville, 2971 International Blvd. Rest stops will have snacks and drinks. Helmets are mandatory. Registration is $50 for ages 9-100 for 33,62, or 100 miles; $30 for ages 9-100 for 20 miles. Register online, then check-in begins at 6 a.m.
Memorial Day Ceremony: The Montgomery County Veterans Service Organization is hosting its annual Memorial Day Ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday, May 29, at the William O. Beach Civic Hall. County and city officials, as well as MCVSO staff will give remarks, with the keynote address given by Col. Andrew Q. Jordan, garrison commander, Fort Campbell. Musical selections will be presented by Stella McKnight and the Carnival and Encore Choirs from Clarksville High School, with posting of the colors by the Montgomery County Sherriff’s Office Honor Guard. Area Veterans Service Organizations will conduct a wreath-laying ceremony.
