CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – We have some big events coming up this weekend, including Irish Day, the Home Show and ComicCon!

Irish Day Celebration in Erin: The Irish Day Parade in nearby Erin draws a lot of folks from Clarksville to celebrate all things Irish. The fun started this week and continues all weekend with a carnival, concerts, auctions and more, with the Grand Parade at 11 a.m. Saturday. Erin is 35 miles southwest of Clarksville on Highway 149. Home Show: The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce and Furniture Connection host the 14th annual Home Show. Vendors will be on hand to showcase new kitchen and bath designs, new home décor and show you what is new and fashionable for your home. The free event is at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center, 1190 Cumberland Drive, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.

ClarksvilleCon: A pop culture event with comic books, toys, a cosplay contest, panels, a new sports card vendor area and Super Smash Bros Tournament. The event is at Quality Inn at Exit 4 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $20, kids under 11 free (1 child per adult).

Spring Craftsmen’s Fair: See over 50 craftsmen showcase their wares and unique trades from woodworkers to metalworkers to specialty chefs and distillers. They will also have food trucks, craft cocktails, distillery tours and yard games. The event is at Old Glory Distilling Co. from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $1. Kids 12 and under free.

The Violet Hour: It’s April 1, 1919, and a young independent publisher in a dilapidated Manhattan office finds himself besieged by two authors while a mysterious machine spews out stacks of pages. Check out this play at Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin St., March 9-18 at 7 p.m. Fridays, 8 p.m. Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Saturdays. Tickets are: $35 adults, $15 for 10 and younger.
