Update, 10:25 a.m. Friday: Downtown @ Sundown tonight has been canceled because of expected storms, according to organizers.

Barracuda will be rescheduled for the next concert season, which will run May-October 2022.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend will feature many opportunities to immerse yourself in various cultures, and we will also be saying goodbye to a summer event.

CHAFF Hispanic Heritage Month Festival: The Clarksville Hispanic American Family Foundation is hosting a free event celebrating Hispanic culture from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Veterans Plaza, with dancers, live music and food trucks.

Downtown @ Sundown: Barracuda will be playing at Downtown Commons from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday. Beer and other beverages will be for sale with proceeds benefiting our featured non-profit, United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region. A variety of independent food trucks will line up on Main Street. This will be the last concert of the season.

Louisiana Saturday Night fundraiserCome by Loaves and Fishes on Saturday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. for some Louisiana eats. A plate is $15 and will include smoked sausage and chicken gumbo and rice, coleslaw, bread, and a praline candy for dessert. You can pick it up and take home or dine on the patio. You can order at the door or online.

Community Bike Ride: Get your bikes out for this community ride through downtown Clarksville on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The ride will be led by the City of Clarksville Mayor, Joe Pitts, and President of Austin Peay State University Mike Licari. Clarksville BCycle will be offering free bikes to use during the event. A limited number of BCycles are available.

Freedom Train at the Roxy: Take a dive into history with a play about Harriet Tubman’s life and legacy playing at the Roxy Regional Theatre starting this Friday. Tickets are $30 for adults and  $15 for children 10 and under. For more information and showtimes, go to their website.
