CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Spend the last weekend of October listening to scary stories and haunted music or participate in a costume contests and Halloween activities.

Fright On Franklin: Downtown Clarksville celebrates Halloween with costume contests and trick or treating on Franklin Street this Saturday. The event lasts from 3-6 p.m. with no cost to participate.

G.H.O.S.T. (Greater Halloween Options for Safe Trick or Treating): Hosted by the APSU Student Government Association, over 70 organizations and departments provide candy, games and books to children at the Austin Peay State University campus on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.

APSU Percussion Ensemble Halloween Concert: There will be two performances at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday in the Mabry Concert Hall at 462 8th St. Admission is two cans of food, donated to Loaves & Fishes, or $5. Halloween at the Fort: Bring a chair and blanket and hear true stories from Clarksville’s past around a bonfire. Hot chocolate will be provided at the free event. Stories will be told at Fort Defiance at 120 A St. from 6-8 p.m. Friday and are recommended for ages 8 and up.

Montgomery County Fall Festival: Trick or treat for free at Rotary Park from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. this Saturday. There will also be various Halloween crafts, pumpkin painting, food trucks, and fall themed photo-opportunities, and more. Rotary Park is located at 2308 Rotary Park Drive.

Historic Collinsville Halloween celebration: Spooky stories and s’mores will feature three sessions of eerie tales from Montgomery County’s past from 6-8 p.m. Saturday. S’mores kits will be provided to each guest to enjoy during the stories. Tickets are $10 for ages 13 and above, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free for children ages 5 and under. The event is help at 4711 Weakley Road, Southside.

Hocus Pocus Movie Night: Watch Hocus Pocus for free at the Downtown Commons Saturday. The movie begins at 6 p.m., and free pizza will be provided at a first come first serve basis. Downtown Commons is located at 215 Legion St.

Trick or treating: The City of Clarksville doesn’t get involved in setting the days or times. Generally, it starts at sundown on Halloween, so grown-ups have your candy ready Monday night, and kiddos hit the streets!
