CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – There’s a full weekend ahead in Clarksville, with festivals, a fair, concerts and theatre.

Montgomery County Fair: Come by Clarksville Speedway & Fairgrounds, 1600 Needmore Road, all weekend to enjoy live entertainment, amusement rides, and famous fair food. Attractions include carnival rides, pig racing, the Enduro Race and more. Fair admission is $7. Ride ticket and armband prices vary. The fair continues every night through Saturday, Aug. 6.

Downtown @ Sundown: The free concert at Downtown Commons, 215 Legion St., will be Hot Lanta, an Allman Brothers tribute band. The show is 7-10 p.m. Friday, and food trucks will be present. Bring a blanket and/or lawn chair.

Clarksville LGBT Festival: A free festival designed to provide a safe place for LGBTQIA+ children, adults and their allies to celebrate and learn about the thriving queer community in Clarksville. The event will be Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Victory Pavilion at Liberty Park.

Emancipation Day Celebration: Dancing, live music, steppers, vendors, food and a job fair, in celebration of Emancipation Day. The free event will be Saturday from 5-10 p.m. at 1011 Franklin St.

Old Glory Distilling’s Saturday Night: Syd Hedrick & the Phalcons will be performing on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Old Glory, 451 Alfred Thun Road. The cost is $5.

The Color Purple: The Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin St., is showing the musical version of this Alice Walker story Friday and Saturday night. Tickets are $35 (adults) and $15 (10 and under).
