CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Tis the weekend for lederhosen, anime conventions and Halloween festivities. Here’s what’s planned in Clarksville.
ClarksvilleCon: After a year-long hiatus, ClarksvilleCon is back at the Quality Inn near Exit 4 on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. General tickets are $20, and VIP tickets are $50. There will be plenty of vendors that will cater to everyone from comic book fans to anime lovers. This event will feature a cosplay contest, a Sailor Moon concert, and several artists from comics like Venom.
Clarksville Oktoberfest: Bikers Who Care is hosting this event on Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. Tickets are $5 for people over 10 years old. There will be a traditional Bavarian Bier Garden with a variety of fall and German brews, as well as polka music. Some of the other events include a Stein Hoist competition, brat eating contest, wiener Ddog races, plus everyone is encouraged to dress up in their favorite German/Bavarian costumes to add to the festivities.
Freedom Train: The last showings of Freedom Train at the Roxy Regional Theatre will be on this Friday at 8 p.m. and two showings on Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children 10 and under. Come and enjoy a moving piece about Harriet Tubman’s life and legacy.
Hocus Pocus at the Roxy: Come see Hocus Pocus on Sunday at the Roxy at 2 p.m. Relive the magic of this 1993 movie in a theatre. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
