CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend features an art festival, October festivities and the Downtown Market. Here’s what’s happening.
Artsville Fest: Local artists, artisans and small businesses present their art, music, dance and more at this creative festival. The event will be at Sanctuary on Main, 334 Main St., on Friday from 4 to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It’s free and open to the public.
Clarksville Downtown Market: This weekly open-air market features farmers and artisans who offer locally grown fresh produce, food items and handcrafted products. It’s located at 1 Public Square from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday. After this, there’s one more weekend, Oct. 8
Caleb Cares Project 5K: Walk or run this weekend to spread a message of suicide prevention. The fundraising event is held at West Creek High School, 1210 West Creek Coyote Trail from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday. It is $10 to $30 to join, and all proceeds will be used to help the children and families in the Clarksville Headstart programs.
Gateway Chamber Orchestra Presents Appalachian Spring: The ballet score will be performed at the Mabry Concert Hall, APSU on 780 Marion St. this Sunday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 to $35.
TN Valley Brewing Oktoberfest: Kick off this October with authentic German food and music. Come dressed for discounts on beer at the Tennessee Valley Brewing Co., 2088 Lowes Drive Suite H. Join the celebration anytime Saturday from noon to 11 p.m.
