There’s lots to do this weekend in Clarksville, from live music, to Chocolate Affairs and a chance to meet a Major League pitcher.
Live at Old Glory Distilling Co: The Back Lot Pickers will perform live at Old Glory Distilling Co. this Saturday, February 1, from 6-9 p.m. Attendance is free and food and drinks will be available for sale.
National Sew Day: Quilts of Valor will be at Jubilee House on Warfield this Saturday from 9 a.m-8 p.m. to sew quilts for donation to American veterans.
Cruise to Nashville Cars N’ Coffee: Nashville Cars and Coffee, along with Clarksville Gearheads, will be meeting at the McDonalds on Exit 11 at 6:15 a.m. on Saturday, February 1. They will be leaving for 633 Frazier Lane Franklin, Tenn, at 6:45 a.m. Classic car lovers are invited to bring their classic rides and join in on the trip.
Junie B Jones: The Musical: The Roxy’s family-friendly production continues this weekend with showtimes on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for kids 13 and younger.
Movies at the Library: The Montgomery-County Public Library invites families to a free showing of “Scooby Doo: Return to Zombie Island” this Sunday, February 2 at 2 p.m. Attendance is free and popcorn will be provided.
Port Royal Historical Tour: Port Royal State Park will hold tours this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, at 1 p.m. Guess will be shown the history of town, including the Tennessee Tobacco Trade, the Black Patch War, and Cherokee Removal. Tickets are $5 for adults (children under 12 may attend free) and can be purchased here.
The Chocolate Affair 2020: Parks and Recreation’s annual Chocolate Affair will be held at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center this Saturday, February 1, from 2-4 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. More than 15 local vendors will provide bite-sized chocolate treats. The afternoon session (6-8) will include dancing and a cash bar. Tickets can be purchased here.
Fundraising Dinner with Chicago Cub’s Alec Mills: Chicago Cubs pitcher Alec Mills will be visiting local schools over the weekend to help raise money for CMCSS baseball programs. Mills will be at CHS tonight, January 31, at 5:30. Tickets for the event are $35. He will then be at MCHS on Saturday, February 1, at 5 p.m. Tickets are $25. Proceeds will help to improve each schools baseball fields and complexes.
