CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The holiday season is in full swing, with many events in and around Clarksville to enjoy. Here are some of our top picks:
Toy Drive: Five Star Media invites the community to join them in collecting toys for local children. Donations will benefit organizations including Centerstone, Sanctuary, Fort Campbell USO and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville. Collections will be taking place at Walmart on Wilma Rudolph Blvd on Friday from 6 a.m-6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m-6 p.m.
Clarksville Christmas Parade: A Clarksville tradition, this year’s parade will begin at Austin Peay and wind its way through Downtown Clarksville. The show begins Saturday at 5 p.m.
Ft. Campbell Holiday Tree Lighting: The 101st Airborne Division, along with Fort Campbell Family Morale, Welfare and Recreation will host their Annual Division Tree Lighting Ceremony this Friday, 5:30 p.m, at Division Headquarters. This event is free and open to the public.
Movies at the Roxy: The Roxy’s 2019 film series continues this weekend with a holiday classic. See Jimmy Stewart in ‘It’s a Wonderful Life,’ this Sunday beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are $5.
CA Winter Carnival: Clarksville Academy is holding their annual Winter Market Saturday, December 7, from 10 a.m-2 p.m. This year’s event will include reindeer games, a craft vendor market, Santa’s silent auction and more.
Downtown Clarksville Spiritfest: Clarksville’s Second Annual Spiritfest will be held in the area of the Downtown Commons on Saturday at 2 p.m. This free event will include several activities, like visits with Santa, live music, inflatables, ice skating and a live nativity scene.
‘A Christmas Carol’ at the Roxy: Join Ebenezer Scrooge as he learns the meaning of Christmas this weekend at the Roxy. Showtimes include Friday, December 6, at 8 p.m, as well as Saturday, December 7, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Holiday Magic Show: Magician Scott Humston will be holding a magic show at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Library on Saturday, December 7, from 3-4 p.m. Holiday themed craft activities will be available before the show.
Tennessee CBD & Hemp Tradeshow: Tennessee’s first ever Hemp and CBD Trade Show will be held at the Riverview Inn Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m-6 p.m. Over 100 vendors will be available, as well as various workshops and seminars.
Coffee with a Deputy: Officers with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office invite the public to join them at Ravenwood Coffee, where they will be holding a special book reading on Saturday, December 7, from 10 a.m-12 p.m.
Movies at the Library: Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library will be holding a free showing of ‘Elf’ this Sunday, December 8, at 2 p.m. admission is free and popcorn will be provided.
‘Winter Baroque’ with the GCO: The Gateway Chamber Orchestra will be celebrating the holidays with their annual Winter Baroque Concert, featuring classics befitting the season. The Orchestra will perform at Madison Street United Methodist Church on Sunday, December 8, from 4-6 p.m.
