Clarksville BBQ Bash: Clarksville Parks and Recreation is hosting its third annual BBQ contest at 10 a.m, Saturday, October 19, at Liberty Park. Local teams will square off to see who can make the best BBQ. The event will also include several local food vendors, craft vendors, games, kids activities and an APSU team launching pumpkins from a trebuchet.
Community Tax Relief Workshop: The Montgomery County Trustee’s Office is hosting a series of workshops covering tax relief programs and teaching people how to take advantage of these opportunities. The first of these events will be held Saturday, October 19 from 7-8 a.m. at Christ the Healer Church, 1296 Paradise Hill Rd, Clarksville Tenn 37042.
Floating Pumpkin Patch: Parks & Recreation invite families to join them at New Providence Pool on Saturday at 2 p.m. for an afternoon of swimming, games, face painting and more. Pre-registered families will get to select a pumpkin from the pool and decorate it.
Star Spangled Brewery Oktoberfest: The second annual Oktoberfest will begin on Friday, October 18, at 3 p.m. at the brewery and will continue until October 19 at 11 p.m. The event will feature live entertainment, classic German fare, Oktoberfest contests and plenty of beer on tap.
Be You! Youth Talent Showcase: Governors Square Mall and the I am Invisible Bullying & Suicide Organization will hold a talent show at the mall on Saturday, October 19, from 7-8 p.m. All talents are welcome. Click here to register.
Downtown @ Sundown: The final Downtown @ Sundown of 2019 will be held at the Downtown Commons on Friday, October 18, and will feature the local southern rock group Lone Watie. The band will take the stage at 7 p.m.

Jazz on the Lawn: The last Jazz on the Lawn of the year is this Saturday, October 19, featuring the old school R&B/funk group Utopia. Tastings start at 4 p.m. and music starts at 6:30.
The Spartan Race: This weekend, October 19-20, Fort Campbell will hold its annual Spartan Race, a middle distance race that blends distance and speed. With 25 obstacles and 8 miles of rough terrain, this race is for seasoned competitors.
