College Football Day at the Downtown Market: At this week’s Downtown Market, celebrate your favorite team by wearing your jersey. Enjoy live music and free activities while shopping for local food, produce and crafts. The Downtown Market will be held Saturday, August 31, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

Bubba Langford Memorial Poker Run: The Bikers Who Care are holding their sixth annual Bubba Run on Saturday, August 31, at 1 p.m. The ride will begin at Poor Man’s County Club and end at the Clubhouse, where there will be live music, door prizes, a silent auction and poker. Poker is $10 a hand and all proceeds go to BWC Children’s Charities.

Arts for Hearts Junk Journal Class: Christie Crawford will teach guests how to make handmade books from recycled items like magazine pages, patterned paper and music sheets at this free art workshop. The class will be held at Clarksville ReStore on August 31, 1-3 p.m.

Video Games in the Loft: The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library invites kids grade 7-12 to join them this Friday, August 30, at 4 p.m. for an afternoon of video games.

Puurrfect Paws and Companion Pet Rescue Adoption Event: Multiple pet rescue organizations will be at the Pet Food Center on Saturday, August 31, with many animals looking for a home. Companion Pet Rescue will be on site from 11 a.m-4 p.m. with Puurfect Paws arriving at 4 p.m. and staying until 6:30 p.m..

MCSA Youth Soccer Night: Montgomery County Soccer Association players are encouraged to wear their jerseys to APSU’s Morgan Bros. Soccer Field for the game against the Mercer Bears. Girls should wear yellow and boys blue. The game starts at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 30, and admission is free.

Clarksville Gear Heads One Year Anniversary: Clarksville’s car club is celebrating its first year with a car show at Liberty Park. Vintage cars will be parked at the lot in front of the dog park on Sunday, September 1, at 5 p.m. Food vendors will be on site as well.

Sunrise Rotary Club Century Bike Ride: This year’s ride begins at Rossview High School at 7 a.m, 6 a.m. registration, on Saturday, August 31. The event includes a 100-mile, 62-mile, and 33-mile fun ride as well as a fundraiser for the Clarksville Sunrise Rotary Club. Riders can register here.
