FORT CAMPBELL, KY (CLARKSVILLENOW) – After last year’s events were canceled, the 101st Airborne Division and Fort Campbell will conduct the annual Week of the Eagles event June 21-25 at Fort Campbell. Select events will additionally take place prior to June 21.
First held in 1974, the Week of the Eagles honors the legacy and heritage of the 101st Airborne Division and involves both veterans and current soldiers of the division.

Here’s what to look forward to:
Run for the Fallen, June 19, 7:30 a.m. – The run will be held at Town Center Park and highlights several memorials on the installation, including the boot display.
Retiree Appreciation Day at the Soldier Support Center, June 19, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. – The event features guest speakers such as MG Tommy H. Baker and SMA Daniel A. Dailey, and will also include a health fair before an opening ceremony at 10 a.m.
Division Run, June 21, 6:30 a.m. – The 101st Airborne Division will conduct a large-scale run as a division, with their route encompassing several roads on the installation.
101st Airborne Division Mass Reenlistment Ceremony at the Sabalauski Air Assault School, June 21, 1 p.m. – More than 100 soldiers will conduct their reenlistment during the afternoon ceremony.
Soldier Recovery Unit Eagle Warrior Memorial Garden Rededication Ceremony, June 22, 8 a.m. – A rededication will be held, which includes the unveiling of a memorial plaque.
Culinary Competition, June 22, 1-4 p.m. – The latter half of the two-day event, soldiers from across the division will compete in a live cooking competition featuring required ingredients and rounds of elimination. The competition begins at 1 p.m. with the final winner announced at 4 p.m.
Air Assault Demonstration, June 22, 1:30 p.m. – A live demonstration of air assault tactics will be featured as part of the presentation. Both soldiers and aircraft will be involved in the event.
Boxing Competition Finals and Combatives Finals, June 23, various times – Final bouts for the boxing and Army combative competitions will be held throughout the day. Both competitions are slated to begin June 21, alongside other sports-oriented contests such as basketball, football, softball, Eagle Fit and tug-of-war.
Memorial Ceremony, June 23, 3 p.m. – The 101st Airborne Division will conduct a memorial ceremony at the division headquarters to honor the fallen.
Division Review, June 24, 9:30 a.m. – The division will conduct a review ceremony involving a large number of soldiers at the division parade field. Winners of the division’s Best Air Assault Competition and Commander’s Cup will also be announced during the event.
Honorary Air Assault Award Ceremony, June 24, 1 p.m. – Vietnam Veterans will be presented and then-assigned to the division with an honorarium award for their service.
