Update, 3:40 p.m.: Storms have caused power outages affecting about 3,000 customers in Clarksville.
Traffic signals at Fort Campbell Boulevard and Dover Crossing are out, according to emergency dispatch.
Drivers are reminded that when a traffic signal is out, the intersection becomes a four-way stop.
“Crews and engineers are on scene and are working as quickly and safely as possible to get power restored,” CDE said in a statement.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – There’s a risk for severe thunderstorms in Clarksville this afternoon and early evening, and wind gusts of over 40 mph are expected.
“The main concern will be localized damaging winds,” according to the National Weather Service. “A brief tornado cannot be ruled out.”

Montgomery and surrounding counties are under a Wind Advisory until 7 p.m. today.
“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects,” the NWS advisory said. “Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
“Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.”
