CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – It will be a little windy this evening, leading up to possible severe thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory, which will remain in effect until 3 a.m. Winds will average 20 to 30 mph, with gusts reaching 45 mph.

The NWS said that a strong low-pressure system will begin affecting Middle Tennessee Wednesday night, with a cold front moving across the region on Thursday. Strong to severe storms are possible starting late Wednesday night, with a greater chance for severe storms throughout the day on Thursday.
There may be multiple rounds of storms from late Wednesday night through Thursday, with the primary severe threat being damaging straight-line winds. Isolated tornadoes are also possible.
The risk level is 1 out of 5 for Wednesday night, mainly along and west of I-65. The risk level is 2 out of 5 for all of Middle Tennessee on Thursday.
