CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A Tornado Watch has been issued for Montgomery County through 8 a.m.

A Tornado Watch means that conditions are right for a tornado to form. If a tornado is spotted or indicated on radar, a Tornado Warning will be issued.

A Wind Advisory has been extended until noon today. South winds around 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph are expected, according to the National Weather Service.

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS alert said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Motorists are encouraged to use extra caution.”
