Update, 1:20 p.m.: Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of eastern Montgomery, northwestern Cheatham and western Robertson Counties through 1:45 p.m.

At 1:16 p.m., Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Guthrie to 14 miles south of Clarksville. Movement was northeast at 45 mph.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A strong thunderstorm is moving toward the Clarksville area with winds in excess of 40 mph.

The storm will impact portions of southwestern Montgomery, northwestern Dickson, southeastern Stewart, Houston and northeastern Humphreys Counties through 12:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

At 11:58 a.m., Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near McEwen, or 8 miles south of Erin, moving northeast at 30 mph.

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects, the NWS said. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
