The Week of the Eagles concert, which was to start at 6 p.m., has been delayed by 30 minutes because of lightning.

Update, 5:45 p.m.: A strong thunderstorm is moving toward Clarksville in a line extending from near Fort Campbell to near Erin.

At 5:27 p.m., NWS Doppler radar tracked the line, with movement northeast at 30 mph.

Possible hazards included winds in excess of 40 mph and nickel-size hail. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building, the NWS advised.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.

Update, 5:40 p.m.: About 2,340 customers of CDE Lightband in the Dover Road area have lost power, likely due to strong winds ahead of the storm.

“Crews and engineers are working as quickly and safely as possible to get power restored with additional crews en route,” CDE said.

Update, 5:35 p.m.: The watch has been cancelled for Trigg and Caldwell counties. The rest of the area remains under the watch.
