CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for southeastern Montgomery County in Middle Tennessee until 5:15 p.m. today.

At 4:47 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles west of Ashland City, moving east at 30 mph, and according to AccuWeather, 60 mph wind gusts can be expected with the possibility of quarter size hail.

Hail damage to vehicles is expected, AccuWeather says along with possible wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include Ashland City, Pleasant View and areas around the Cheatham Dam. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
