Update, 3:04 p.m.: A Flash Flood Warning has also been issued for northeastern Montgomery County.
At 3:03 p.m., NWS radar picked up thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned areas and between 1 and 2 inches of rain has already fallen, according to the MoCo Information App.
Flash flooding is ongoing and expected to begin shortly, said the report. The Flashing Flood Warning is expected to run through 6 p.m.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The National Weather Service has released a Special Weather Statement saying strong thunderstorms near Springfield are expected to impact northeastern Montgomery County, as well as other surrounding communities.
According to NWS radar, at 2:35 p.m., a cluster of strong thunderstorms were tracked near Springfield, moving east at 15 miles per hour. Wind gusts have been recorded at 50 mph, as well as pea size hail.
NWS reported that the thunderstorms will impact Montgomery County through 3:15 p.m.
