CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – It could get a little bumpy tonight, as the National Weather Service calls for thunderstorms this evening.
Most of the forecast remains on track, with minor flooding still the main hazard this week.

There is a possibility for an isolated strong to marginally severe thunderstorm tonight across the northwest portion of the area, according to the NWS. Any of these thunderstorms may produce strong winds and heavy rainfall, which may lead to flooding.
An additional 1 to 2.5 inches of rain is possible before gradual clearing on Friday.
Due to the rain already received this week, this may cause minor flooding in low-lying areas and along creeks. Areas along and north of I-40 will have the best chance for minor flooding, the NWS said.
Widespread flooding is not expected.
