CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – With a heat index of up to 106 expected in Clarksville, a Heat Advisory has been issued through tonight.

The Advisory from the National Weather Service is in effect through 8 p.m. for Montgomery and surrounding counties. A high of 97 today is forecast in Clarksville, with an afternoon heat index of 106 degrees.

“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” the NWS said. “Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.”
