CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Dangerous heat will continue to start the week, with heat index values reaching as high as 115 degrees before slightly cooler and drier air arrives midweek.

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory through 8 p.m. Tuesday. “Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors.”

Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms remain possible Monday and Tuesday, but sunshine and more comfortable temperatures are expected for the second half of the week.
