CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Frigid weather is closing in, with a Frost Advisory tonight followed by a Freeze Watch Wednesday night.
Montgomery and surrounding counties are under the Frost Advisory from midnight tonight to 9 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures will drop to the mid-30s tonight, causing frost formation.
The Freeze Watch is in effect from late Wednesday night through Thursday morning, with temperatures dropping to the upper 20s.
Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
These conditions are expected again early Friday morning, so additional watches or warnings will likely be needed.
