CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A Flood Watch has been issued for Montgomery County and most of Middle Tennessee for 1 a.m. Thursday through late Thursday night.
“Multiple waves of heavy rainfall from Thursday morning through late Thursday night will cause excessive rain amounts of 1 to 4 inches,” according to a National Weather Service alert. “Heavy rainfall will cause excess runoff and localized flash flooding in the watch area.”
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding. Residents should be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be ready to take action should flooding develop, the NWS advised.
