CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLENOW) –  A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for Montgomery County, and it starts during 1 a.m. Saturday, and continues into the afternoon.

Two to five inches of rain have fallen across Middle Tennessee in the last few days, according to an alert from the National Weather Service in Nashville.

“Additional showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop after midnight tonight through the morning hours Saturday, resulting in an additional 2 to 4 inches of rain possible,” the NWS alert said.

Over the next day or so, higher amounts of rain may be possible with of heavier showers and storms, according to the alert.

The Flash Flood advisory also applies to Bedford, Cheatham, Dickson, Giles, Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Lawrence, Lewis, Marshall, Maury, Perry, Stewart, Wayne and Williamson counties.
