Update, 4 p.m.: A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for south central Cheatham County and southeastern Dickson County until 6:30 p.m.

Thunderstorms in that area are producing heavy rain. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Montgomery and surrounding counties are under a Flash Flood Watch through Monday evening, and a Flash Flood Warning has been issued for southeastern Dickson County through 1:30 p.m.

Heavy rains in the storms moving over Middle Tennessee could bring sudden rainfall of 1 to 2 inches, which could lead to flash floods in low-lying areas, the National Weather Service said.

The rains will return Tuesday through Wednesday.

“A strong cold front will move slowly across the area Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning, bringing another round of showers and thunderstorms. Additional rainfall amounts around 1 to 2 inches are possible, which could cause some localized flooding of roads and low lying areas. In addition, a couple of strong storms are possible with gusty winds.”
