CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – An Excessive Heat Warning has been issued for Montgomery and nearby counties, with a high of 97 expected today and a heat index of up to 109. The warning is in effect through 8 p.m. Friday; that day, the heat index could reach 111.
“Dangerously hot” conditions are expected both days, according to the National Weather Service. “Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.”
On Wednesday, the temperature at Outlaw Field in Clarksville reached 97 degrees, with a heat index of 106.
