CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Wawa has announced that their Clarksville location, which will be their first in Tennessee, is set to open in mid-June.
Wawa operates a chain of over 1,110 convenience stores across the United States, from Pennsylvania and Ohio to Florida, according to their website.
On Thursday, June 18, Tennessee will be added to that list with Wawa’s grand opening in Clarksville at 1290 Parkway PIace, off 101st Airborne Division Parkway just west of Peachers Mill Road. This will be the company’s first of six stores slated to open in Tennessee in 2026, which also plays a part in Wawa’s 10-year plan to open 50 locations in the state, according to a press release.

“To build each store, Wawa will invest more than $7.5 million and employ, on average, 140 contractors and local partners. Once open, each store will employ an average of 35 associates, with Wawa expecting to create 1,750 new, long-term new jobs,” said the release. “Today, Wawa’s unique offer includes extensive fresh food and beverages with coffee and specialty beverages, hoagies, pizza, burgers, soups, sides and more with a long commitment to serving its community with a core purpose of fulfilling lives.”
“We are excited to bring our unique combination of fresh food and beverage, convenience and service to Tennessee for the very first time,” said Brian Schaller, president of Wawa. “This historic milestone marks expansion to our fourteenth state, and our ongoing growth allows us to create new jobs, strengthen community partnerships and fulfill more lives.”
