Waterdogs Scuba & Safety LLC is co-owned by combat veterans Cecil Stout and Richard Holladay, who know firsthand what it’s like transitioning to civilian life after military service.
Stout spent 25 years in the U.S. Marines as a Chief Warrant Officer before retiring. Holladay retired from the Army following a 22 year careers as a Command Sergeant Major.
For that reason, they are dedicated to assisting both active-duty and retired military personnel any chance they get.
Waterdogs Scuba and Safety has supported several nonprofit organizations that serve veterans such as the Wounded Warrior Project, MWR, and many more.
In 2018, Waterdogs opened their institution so military members can use their VA benefits to start a career in diving. As a PADI Five Star Professional Development center, they use their high-quality staff and training to teach high-level professional divers.
Waterdogs Scuba and Safety was established in 2013 in Clarksville and has become a veritable hub for scuba in the Middle Tennessee and Kentucky area.
Since opening, the shop has been a certified Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) Five Star Center, and, with more than 100 years of combined experience, they guarantee the highest standards of quality in teaching, safety and service.
Waterdogs Scuba and Safety offers both private and scheduled dive training and also CPR and first aid courses for beginners through professionals.
Waterdogs Scuba & Safety is associated with PADI, American Red Cross, American Heart Association and Divers Alert Network.
In November, Waterdogs is giving all active-duty and retired military 10% off of eligible in-stock equipment to show their appreciation for veterans and service members.
They are also sponsoring a special Wall of Honor to for ClarksvilleNow readers to submit photos of their favorite veteran and appreciation for their service.
