CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Miss Black Clarksville pageant is a scholarship and enrichment program that has been going on in the city since 2005.
Carol Berry, who leads the girls, encourages academic excellence, higher education, and serving the community. Her goal is to lift up not only girls of color, but all high-aiming girls in Clarksville and Hopkinsville.
In addition to the yearly pageant, the participants learn proper behavior, develop social skills, and volunteer in the community. All high school participants, including the winner, receive scholarships for college.
