CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Living in a friendly, Clarksville neighborhood is a teenager who has big dreams for his career.  His name is Keith Evans, and he’s an actor.

Keith is a sophomore at Rossview High School.  Already, though, he has acted in two feature films and one short film.  The short film is called Untitled, which released in 2016.  His first feature film was 2018’s Uncle Drew, directed by Charles Stone III and produced by Summit Entertainment, a label of Lionsgate Films; Temple Hill Entertainment; and Pepsi Productions.  Uncle Drew stars Kyrie Irving, Lil Rel Howery, and Shaquille O’Neal.

He followed up his role in Uncle Drew with a larger role in Benched (originally titled Rounding Third), directed by Robert Deaton and George Flanigen, and starring John C. McGinley and Garret Dillahunt.  Benched is based on the play, Rounding Third, written by Richard Dresser.

“I’m a big fan of movies,” Keith said, “And I always used to think movies were real, when I was little.  When I found out it was just actors, I wanted to know how they do that so well.  I wanted to be an actor.  I wanted to learn how to do that.”

As Keith’s mother and older sister have both acted themselves (albeit on the stage as opposed to on the screen), the young actor has a family connection to acting.  He has also done some modelling work, which includes appearances in the Russell Athletics catalog.

In offering advice to young, aspiring actors, Keith said, “Just keep going.  If you get the part or not, just keep working.”

As for his own acting career, Keith’s dream is to portray a character he looks up to.  “My one dream role would be to play Spider-Man.”  Keith said that he likes the prospect of playing Spider-Man because the Marvel superhero can stand up to bullies.
