CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A man and a woman have been arrested after allegedly leaving their two-month old child in a Walmart deli section and exiting the store.

According to an arrest warrant, Zachary and Amanda Henderson were shopping at the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Dover Rd. September 21 and left their two-month-old child in the deli section before going to the pasta aisle. They then went to self checkout and left the store when they realized the child was not with them.

Zachary Henderson went back inside the store to locate his daughter, but store management had already found her and called the police.

A warrant says Zachary Henderson tested positive for cocaine. He told police he had taken one Xanax and two of his wife’s Klonopin pills that morning. He said the cocaine was in his system from Sunday night.

A warrant says Amanda Henderson tested positive for THC. She admitted in an interview that she had taken Klonopins, Zoloft, Lamictal, and Rice Krispy treats with THC inside.

Each was charged with child abuse and neglect with a $10,000 bond.
