CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Clarksville man has been charged with child abuse after allegedly typing up a 3-year-old child with zip ties.
According to his arrest warrant, Aaron Cletus Marks is accused of binding the victim’s hands behind her back with zip ties in a manner that resembled methods used by police or on prisoners of war. The warrant said the child was restrained for approximately ten minutes, which caused her pain, discomfort, and distress.
On two other occasion, Marks allegedly bound the girl’s arms and abdomen in an ace bandage to restrict her movements the way a straight jacket would.
During all three events, the child was screaming and crying.
Marks told police in an interview that he agreed his disciplinary tactics were extreme.
He was arrested and charged with child abuse and neglect. His bond was set at $75,000.
