According to her arrest warrant, Cowdrey was sitting in the backseat of the male victim’s Dodge Charger at the time of the shooting. The wife told police she heard a loud boom and felt her arm fall to her side when she was allegedly shot by Cowdrey. She said she then witnessed Cowdrey shoot her husband in the face.

Officers with the Clarksville Police Department found Cowdrey on the side of Rossview Road near the scene of the crime. Her arrest warrant said she was in possession of a large caliber revolver with three spent shell casings.

The husband was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center in critical condition and authorities said the wife is in stable condition.

Records show Cowdrey also had previous charges for methamphetamine violations, driving on a suspended license, and unlawful drug paraphernalia in August 2017.
