CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Woodlawn man has been charged with aggravated assault after allegedly chasing an employee of his with a machete.
According to an arrest warrant, the victim said his employer, 65-year-old James Lee, had given him a truck to use for work but asked for it back. The victim reportedly told James he still needed to be paid, but James refused. He then tried to punch the victim and missed.
The warrant says James then grabbed a machete and began swinging it at the victim before chasing him with it. The victim managed to escape unharmed but was afraid for his life and called police.
James was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. His bond was set at $5,000.
