CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Over 300 people braved a drizzle of rain Saturday to be part of the 2022 Walk to end Alzheimer’s at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. The event was the annual fundraiser to support the Tennessee Alzheimer’s Association and the fight against dementia.

The Alzheimer’s Association says there are 6 million Americans and around 120,000 Tennesseans living with Alzheimer’s. No final numbers were available of funds raised from Saturday’s walk, but until that point more than $82,000 had been raised toward this year’s goal of $110,000. Donations are still being accepted until the end of the year. To learn more visit alz.org.
