CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Clarksville woman was recently charged with embezzlement after allegedly stealing money from her place of employment.
According to an arrest warrant, a loss prevention officer at Wal-Mart on Fort Campbell Blvd. told police on Feb. 2 that Elizabeth Dickey, 21, was caught stealing over $1,000 from the cash register over a five-day period.
Dickey’s employers had noticed her register was coming up short, and when confronted she admitted to the theft.
Police recovered $600 from Dickey and returned the money to the store, but the other $400 has not been accounted for.
The loss prevention officer said Dickey also had over $200 worth of unauthorized overrides to customers.
Dickey was charged with embezzlement and her bond was set at $1,000.
