CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The 2018 Montgomery County General Election and Tennessee State Primary is set for Tuesday, August 2 and if you are not registered to vote, the last day to sign up is Tuesday, July 3.

For the Montgomery County General Election, offices being voted on are County Mayor, Sheriff, all 21 County Commission Districts, Trustee, Circuit Court Clerk, County Clerk and Register of Deeds. School Board Districts 1, 3, 5 & 7 will also be on the ballot.

The August 2 ballot includes Tennessee State Primary candidates for U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, Governor, Tennessee House of Representatives for Districts 67, 68 & 74. Both Republican and Democrat State Executive Committeeman and Committeewoman will also be voted on.

You don’t have to have your driver’s license to register to vote, you just need an ID and provide your signature. When it comes time for early voting or on elections day, you will have to have a valid photo ID such as a Tennessee State photo ID or a Federal photo ID.

If you have moved since the last election you will need to stop by the Election Commission Office by July 3 and get your address changed to make sure you are casting your ballot in the correct district on election day.

The Montgomery County Election Commission Office is at 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 404 in Veterans Plaza next to the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library. They are open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
