CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The 2020 Tennessee State Primary and Montgomery County General Election is set for Thursday, August 6. If you are not registered, the last day to sign up to vote is Tuesday, July 7.
The August 6 ballot includes Tennessee State Primary candidates for the U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, Tennessee Senate and Tennessee House of Representatives for Districts 67, 68 and 74.
For the Montgomery County General Election, offices being voted on are Highway Supervisor, Assessor of Property, and Circuit Court Judge Part V (to fill unexpired term). Also, on the ballot are School Board Districts 2, 4 and 6, along with District 3 (to fill an unexpired term).
“The online registration is for those who have a current Tennessee license or ID. We also have voter registration applications available at the public library and all U.S. Post Offices,” said Administrator of Elections Elizabeth Black.
Black added that those who want to register in person are welcome to stop by the Montgomery County Election Commission Office in Veterans Plaza.
The Montgomery County Election Commission Office is at 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 404 in Veterans Plaza next to the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library. They are open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
