Volunteers needed for cleanup at Billy Dunlop Park

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksvillians are encouraged to join in the beautification of one of the City’s favorite parks.

The City of Clarksville’s Parks and Recreation department is hosting a cleanup from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, August 4 at Billy Dunlop Park, 1930 E Boy Scout Road.

“Our parks need constant maintenance, but to make it more fun, we schedule volunteer maintenance days throughout the year to keep them in shape. We hope you can join us in helping City parks stay beautiful!” city officials said.

Groups as well as individuals are welcome to participate. To pre-register for the Park Cleanup, visit CityofClarksville.com/ParksRec.

However, pre-registration is not necessary to participate in this opportunity and walk-ups are welcomed. Trash bags will be provided but participants may want to bring their own gloves.
