FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. – The Department of Defense announced this week that Brig. Gen. Gary J. Volesky has been selected as the next commanding general of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell.
He was previously serving as Chief of Public Affairs for the U.S. Army. Read his full bio here.
Volesky will replace Maj. Gen. McConville, who was nominated by the President for a promotion in Washington, D.C. to the rank of lieutenant general as the deputy chief of staff.
