CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The voice of the Tennessee Titans, Mike Keith,  visited Clarksville on July 31 to speak with members of the Kiwanis Club about the current and future state of the Titans football program.

Keith began with kind words for Austin Peay State University’s head football coach Will Healy, as well as Gerald Harrison, the new Austin Peay Director of Athletics. He also thanked the Clarksville Kiwanis Club.

While speaking about practice and preseason, Keith was confident in the up-and-coming players that will be part of the team, assuring the members of the Kiwanis club that there are some interesting changes coming in future seasons.

Keith also made a point to address and explain new rule changes that will be coming to the NFL in the coming season including new penalties for initiating contact with the crown of the helmet and new rules for concussion protection on the kickoff. He said to expect some agreement and compromise in terms of political statements on the field.

Keith said he is confident about the Titans’ chances for success this season, elaborating on the position that the team is in compared to where they would like to be next season as they work towards their goal of a third winning season, a first for the Tennessee Titans.
